These days, car accidents are a major problem all across the globe, including Ethiopia, therefore engineers are trying to figure out how to make them less common. In the fight to reduce the number of fatal car accidents, the use of in-car electronic systems 
is anticipated to make a significant contribution. Therefore, the study’s primary objective was to design a microcontroller-based rear-end anti-collision warning system that could determine the distance between two cars traveling in the same lane and sound an alarm to the driver if they were getting too close to an impending accident.
