Aim & Scope
Data Science – Extracting Insights is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Python Publishing Press. It publishes research on collecting, analysing, modelling and communicating data, and on what those analyses mean for the fields that depend on them.
We welcome methodological work and applied studies from any domain, provided the data and methods are described well enough for readers to judge the findings and build on them.
Scope
We welcome original research articles, reviews, short communications and case-based studies in areas including:
- Statistical learning and predictive modelling
- Big data platforms, data engineering and data pipelines
- Data mining, pattern discovery and text analytics
- Data visualisation and visual analytics
- Applied data science in health, business, government and the sciences
- Time-series analysis and forecasting
- Data quality, provenance and research data management
- Data ethics, privacy and responsible analytics
