Aim & Scope
BioGeo is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Python Publishing Press. It publishes research that links living systems to place: how species, ecosystems and environmental processes vary across landscapes, and how spatial data and computation help us understand and manage them.
Field studies, laboratory work, remote sensing, GIS and modelling are all welcome, as are studies that turn findings into guidance for conservation and environmental policy.
Scope
We welcome original research articles, reviews, short communications and case-based studies in areas including:
- Biogeography, ecology and biodiversity
- Conservation biology and ecosystem management
- Remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Spatial statistics and species distribution modelling
- Climate change impacts and environmental resilience
- Land use, soils, water and natural resource management
- Environmental monitoring, data and AI for earth systems
- Sustainable development and environmental policy
