Aim & Scope
BioAI (An Advanced Journal in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Trends in Biological Sciences) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Python Publishing Press. It publishes work where computing meets biology: models that read genomes, predict protein behaviour, support diagnosis or make sense of large biological datasets.
We look for papers that are clear about their data, honest about their limits and useful to people working on real biological or biomedical problems, whether the contribution is a new method, a careful benchmark or an applied study.
Scope
We welcome original research articles, reviews, short communications and case-based studies in areas including:
- Machine learning and deep learning for genomics, proteomics and other omics data
- AI for drug discovery, protein structure and molecular design
- Bioinformatics and computational biology
- Medical imaging, diagnostics and clinical decision support
- Systems biology and biological network modelling
- AI in agriculture, ecology and environmental biology
- Biological data resources, software and reproducible pipelines
- Ethics, fairness and explainability of AI in the life sciences
